Meetup with Hikers and just down to earth people. Join us to hit the trail, concert, movie, or any other type of event we can think up. If you'd like to lead a hike or host an event, then please let me know.
Please wear appropriate hiking shoes and ALWAYS bring plenty of water and at least one snack!!

You can join us for an exploratory 7-mile hike. This hike will take about 4 hours plus shuttle time. Preference will be given to those of have done section 1.
We will meet at Tarrywile Park, 70 Southern Blvd, Danbury, CT 06810. GPS: 41.380655, -73.453196 at 8:45 AM. Do not go to the trailhead for the start of the hike as this may cause a problem for you in shuttling back. We will shuttle (10 minutes) to 32 Side Cut Road (approximate), Redding, CT 06896. GPS: 41.325692, -73.427305. There is limited parking at Side Cut Road. You must be willing to help shuttle hikers.
From the Side Cut Road parking area, we will follow the Ives Trail to Tarrywile Park. Along the way, we will pass through the Bogus Brook Preserve in Redding and into a short section of Bethel, CT near an area called Terre Haute. We will also be near Bogus Mountain, cross Long Ridge Road and then head north to Tarrywile Park. Other points of interest along the way include “The Mudhole”, “The Breezeway”, “Weidel Meadows” and “The Fish”.
Note: This is an exploratory hike. We have not been on parts of this trail.

Bring appropriate gear including a light/headlamp, food, and water. Review/bring your map to be aware of topography and our location.

If Unable to Attend: Please cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event, so people on the waitlist can attend. If on the day of the event, you cannot make it, please take your name off the going list. Not attending hikers will be marked as “No-Show.” People with multiple “No-Show” will not be allowed on future hikes. Thanks....
