On November 4, 2018, Don's wife and partner of 40 years, Mardi, passed away after 3 weeks in the hospital, ending with surgical complications
On October 28, 2010, Robin's husband Mark died suddenly of a heart attack. Robin had 2 children who at the time, were 18. Now, Robin has a very responsible job in Bucks County.
For both of us, it was and still is a devastating experience.
Don retired in 2014 after building a very comfortable life with Mardi and now must find a way to navigate, cope and find ways to deal with the future, including:
>> Work
>> Family
>> Health and
>> Social
In talking with friends, Don learned that “I am not alone”. There are others in the Bucks County area who are also having to deal with these issues.
So, Don & Robin thought it would be useful to setup this MeetUp and invite others who wish for support and are willing to help others.
The plan is to meet once a month for a nice dinner at a local restaurant, to share and grow from each other.
We are not therapists. We are local people who are looking to navigate the future. And we don’t want to do this alone.
