What we’re about
The Winchester, VA Writing and Writer's Network Meetup Group will focus on conducting round table discussions of the writer's original work. This group has been designed to cater to the writer whether he or she is new or experienced; the writer should be interested in publishing his or her own work and should therefore come to this group to have their original work critiqued by other writers. Join this group if you have written a short story, poetry, novella, novel or other forms of fiction and nonfiction such as a memoir or flash fiction of various sorts. This group is therefore intended to help guide the writer in honing his or her craft; the group will read the original work and provide feedback during a meet up session. The group will read during the meet up a few pages of poetry, fiction or the first chapter of a novel therefore enough copies should be brought to the group to pass out during a meet up session. Eventually we can begin to email each other the work that will be critiqued during a session if that works better. Our meet up will ideally meet once a week at a location that is designed to allow the writers to share and discuss original works.
