Welcome Socialites!! This group is for anyone over 30* who wants to join a friendly and inclusive community to make the most of what the city has to offer, for fun days and nights in and around town. The aim is to have events to suit all tastes: nights out at bars, restaurants, live music and cinema; by day, drinking coffee, or visiting local attractions. Or anything else you fancy! The Group was started in April 2015 and is now a well-established group, with over 100 events and 800 member attendances in the first year. New members regularly tell us that they were recommended to join by existing happy members, which is great to hear! So go on.....what's stopping you?
*I've been asked by a number of prospective members to give more of a guide to the age range of the group. Most members are between mid-30's and mid-50's, so prospective members might be more comfortable if they are in that approximate ball-park.....but no birth certificates are checked!!
We have a team of Event Organisers but once you've been an active member for a few months, if you fancy joining the team and put on events yourself, just let us know! Any application that doesn't have a recognisable face pic, or has a photo deemed as inappropriate, will be declined.
