Active/Athletic Singles 40s/50s/60s
I am organizing a new group for ATHLETIC, SINGLE, FUN, OUTDOORSY, individuals that like to enjoy the outdoors in what some people say is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Let’s be thankful and explore together!
The goal is to provide adventures that allow people to get to know each other and help people discover new places and ideas. Individuals will connect through fun, shared experiences either in person or on-line (depending on COVID restrictions).
Activities can include (but aren't limited to): hiking, camping, skiing, snowshoeing, travel, happy hours, dinner parties, BBQ's, breweries, comedy clubs, etc. Online activities may include slide shows of personal adventures to inspire people to get out and enjoy.
Our hikes and adventures can fit within a variety of distances, skill levels, elevation gains etc. I am recovering from an injured hip so outings that I lead will be limited in intensity for now. However, other members will be encouraged to become trip leaders to organize trips and activities that they think will be fun for you and others.

- Please be respectful (update your RSVP if your plans change) when you RSVP to events especially if there is a limited number of spots available. This will be enforced and multiple no-shows will be removed from the group!
-Please do not join this group unless you are single! This is not the place for open relationships or married people looking for infidelity.

What will you be doing on Saturday mornings to take in a beautiful view, get some exercise, and meet new people?
Join us for this FREE weekly, community parkrun or walk in Gorham at the beautiful Shaw Cherry Hill Farm.
These Run / Walk Events are a phenomenon in Europe, Australia and New Zealand and growing rapidly in number in the US.- The 5k Run / Walk is a weekly event that takes place every Saturday morning along the beautiful Shaw Cherry Hill Farm recreation trails in Gorham starting in May until the snow flies.
- Parkrun is positive, welcoming and inclusive - there is no time limit and every event includes a Tailwalker behind the participants so no one finishes last.
- Participants meet up for coffee/ tea afterwards at the Sullivan House Bakery.
- Dogs allowed if they are mellow, on leash, and managed such that they will not trip or interfere with others.

- For those who would like to run the course, make sure to register as a runner and receive a bar code to allow your time to be captured by the auto-timing for your time and placement.

The Picklr is hosting a Singles Mixer with light bites, mingling, and pickleball. This event is for the experienced, novices, and beginners alike.
- 6 to 7 pm - Eat, Meet, and Greet
- 7 to 9 pm - Pickleball Play and Social Rounds
- If you are having fun and want to keep going, the courts will be available to keep playing until 10 pm
It is a great way to meet other singles in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere
- No partner needed – come solo and they will mix and match
- All levels welcome - The Picklr will assign courts based on experience (experienced, novice, or beginners to the sport of Pickleball)
- No equipment needed as the Picklr has paddles to loan out for the session. Regular tennis shoes or cross-trainers work well
- Spaces are limited and reservations will be made on a first come / first serve basis. You must sign up and pay on the Picklr’s registry to secure your spot using the following link: https://westbrook.thepicklr.com/programs/singles-mixer-westbrook
