After breakfast, we head to Malaga's most famous hiking trail. Although this is an easy hike on your legs, you must have a good head for heights.CAMINITO DEL REY
Caminito del Rey, or The King's Little Path, is one of the most popular hiking trails in Malaga. Much of the hike stretches along narrow walkways that hug cliffsides and cross gorges. Unsurprisingly, this route had a dangerous reputation, but it has become much safer after restoration work in 2015.At 7.7 km and with few climbs, Caminito del Rey is a relatively easy hike that takes around 2 hours to complete and is led by a local guide who will teach the history of this canyon.
If you prefer not to do this walk, you can join me on another walk in the region with beautiful views of the lakes.
We return to Malaga by 4 pm with time to spare to visit the beach as the sun sets by 6 pm.
SATURDAY
Setenil de las Bodegas and Ronda
These two famous villages were built in some of the most stunning natural sights.Setenil de las Bodegas was built under a massive rock, which provides much needed cool shade during the summer, and some of the buildings were carved inside this rock!
Ronda sits on top of a dramatic gorge which divides the oldest part of the city from the new. It retains architecture from its Roman, Arabic, Jewish and Christian past. The spectacular New Bridge (“Puente Nuevo”) which spans the gorge is the major sight of the city, although its name is a slight misnomer, as it is hardly "new" any more.....building commenced in 1751 and took until 1793 to complete!
Take a walk along the city wall or through the tiny streets and alleys which wind their way through the town, leading you to spectacular viewing points overlooking the gorge and valley, to open plazas or simply to a hidden bar or restaurant.

SATURDAY
Granada's most famous low level hike
Los Cahorros de Monachil
10 kilometres - 6 hours of hiking - 500 metres of elevation gainThis has quickly become one of our favourite hikes, and we have been oto some amazing hikes.
Beware this hike is not suitable for everyone as it requires crawling at some points and it requires a good head for heights with some passages being extremely narrow and with a risk of a bad fall.
This hike takes us along a river, then some very narrow passages requiring crawling or walking on a river bed if you prefer but we don't recommend that during winter when the waters are too strong.
From there we follow along the bottom of this canyon to awe inspiring views climbing to a vantage point to the admire a stunning natural wonder of mountain, cliffs and desert.
We cross two beautiful hanging bridges then turn back over a desert like trail.
SUNDAY
We spend a bit of our morning at the beach, then drive to Malaga for a tour visiting the main sights, followed by your final car trip to the airport.FEE
