This event will focus on how AI impacts our digital lives. Whilst we know the technology is creating new challenges there are people working on ways of countering these new problems! With two amazing speakers we'll be digging into our Digital Wellbeing with Stephanie Antonian (Founder, Aestora) and Cyber Security with Benji Weber (VP, Engineering, Mindgard)... What challenges does AI create and how can we address them practically?Of course, we'll also have plenty of time for the most important part of any community - meeting and learning from each other! Talk 1 - AI for Human Flourishing with Stephanie Antonian
What is AI, how is it created, and what does it truly mean for us as a collective? In this talk, we’ll explore how we can move beyond today’s misaligned incentives to create tools that genuinely benefit society and help humans flourish.
Join us for a discussion about rethinking AI’s role in society, crafting technology that serves us all, and harnessing collective creativity to shape a healthier, more equitable future.
Talk 2 - Staying safe from AI Security Risks with Benji Weber
AI technology is wonderous, but like any new technology it brings with it new security risks. We'll look at attack scenarios exploiting AI that could result in financial loss, reputational damage, data leakage, identity theft and more.
It's harder for attackers to exploit these vulnerabilities if you're aware of these risks, and know how to avoid unknowingly aiding their attacks. So join us to explore some attack scenarios and how you could thwart them.
