About the exhibition
AI + Design is an exhibition of student work produced during a special topics course, AI + Design, that took place during the 2024 spring term of the Portland State graphic design program. The course introduced students to the fundamental principles and techniques of artificial intelligence as it pertains to the disciplines of art and design. Students explored topics related to the implementation, impact, ethics, and collaborative opportunities of AI and its various forms.The exhibition features designed artifacts, the results of student-led experiments and learnings around AI and its practical applications, ethical considerations, and collaborative possibilities. In addition to a tour of the show, this event will also feature insight into the course and discussions with students and their experience working with AI.
