Join me for an afternoon of film photography at the beautiful Minstead Study Centre.
During this 3 hour workshop you'll be guided through shooting and developing black and white film in a friendly and relaxed environment. Whether you're a photography newbie or a seasoned digital photographer you'll go home having experienced the unique joy that the analogue process delivers.
The workshop begins with a brief introduction to film photography and familiarisation you with the camera you'll be using. Then we'll head out for a walk around the grounds of the study centre to take some photos. I'll be on hand along the way for tips on exposure and composition to ensure you get the most from your roll of film.
Once you've shot your film we'll head back to the classroom. There I'll demonstrate how to load your film into a developing tank, develop, fix and wash your film to reveal your negatives.
After the workshop I will scan and convert your negatives, and send your positive images to you by email as well as sending your negatives back to you.
Included in the price is: Use of a 35mm SLR camera, a roll of black and white film, all required development equipment and chemicals, and scanning of your negatives.
Please note that participants must be 16+ years of age.
