Club Description
Amador Flyfishers (AFF) is a family-oriented organization established in 1991 to provide an opportunity for persons interested in fly fishing to share information, learn from others, experience fly fishing in various locations, and protect fisheries for future generations.
AFF meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. The meetings provide an opportunity to socialize with other fly fishers, learn new skills, share local fishing reports, and hear a presentation given by a prominent industry fly fisher.

Members and guest(s) of all levels of experience are strongly encouraged to attend.Contact the AFF Host if you or your guest(s) would like to request instruction or loaner equipment. Be courteous and change your RSVP to “Not Attending” if you are unable to attend the outing so that we are not waiting for you. You can also contact and inform the AFF Host or another attending member. For safety reasons let the AFF Host or another attending member know if you leave an outing early. Otherwise, we will be searching for you at the end of the outing.

DIRECTIONS: Heenan Lake (EL 7200') is 8 miles east of Markleeville on Hwy 89. You can reach Hwy 89 (Monitor Pass) from Hwy 395, south of Topaz Lake at Woodfords. It is about 7 miles to Markleeville and another 8 miles to the junction of Hwy 89 and SR4. Heenan will be on the right.
DESCRIPTION:
Fishing for... Lahontan Cutthroat Trout
Moderate level of difficultyFish cruise throughout the lake. Popular areas are the inlets of Heenan Creek at the east end and lake south end, both areas with weed beds usually present.
There will be plenty of quality fish on hand for the patient fly fisher. No water or food at the lake, bring your own food and beverages. I look forward to seeing you there.
GEAR:
Clothing - this is a high Sierra lake (7200'), so be prepared for all types of weather conditions.Float tube, pontoon boat, prams, and usual stillwater gear

If you missed AFF's drift trip on the Lower Sacramento River earlier this year (or if you went and had a blast), here's another chance! Delta Fly Fishers has invited AFF Members to join in their October 11 Drift Trip on the Lower Sacramento. Sign up by September 15th!
NOTE: This is a DFF Outing, not an AFF Outing - you will need to register with DFF and sign their liability waiver to attend. Signing up through Meetup is not enough - please register through Bob Fujimura (contact info below).

Your club is invited to join this annual Delta Fly Fishers outing with host Scott Sugimoto of On the Riffle Guide Service and his guides and support staff for another awesome day on this famous tailwater fishery for resident rainbow trout.Participants will have a full day of guided indicator nymph fishing from a drift boat with an experienced guide per two anglers. Fishing gear, flies, shuttle service, and all you can eat group BBQ lunch are provided. The guide fee of $300 per person (double occupancy per boat) includes the guide tip.
Please contact Bob Fujimura to register and pay your guide fee before September 15 or earlier (email [deltaflyfishers@gmail.com] or voice or text message to (209) 329-1692). If interested, don’t delay - early registration will help ensure that we reserve our guides in advance! All guide fees are non-refundable in the case of you cancel your trip – however, you can sell your spot to another club member.
Registered participants will be provided with additional detailed information (via email) on pre-event fishing conditions, recommended fishing equipment or gear for optional use during or outside of the guided day, local group dining or lodging options, and other trip activities.
