LET'S MEET UP ON THE RUINS of CLOUD 9 & WATCH THE SUNSET & THE MOON RISE AS THE CITY LIGHTS START TO GLIMMER!!! MOST OF ALL MEET & ENJOY YOUR FELLOW HIKERS!!!

Lets get together and get to know your fellow members during this event. Bring a chair, blanket, drinks, snack, POT LUCK bring something to share with the group, or whatever you feel that would make this event

This was so much fun last time...so lets do this event again, will be a lot of fun! We will watch the Sunset around 7;40pm and the Moon will start rising at 8:10pm. So come enjoy the evening festivities... Will be a lot of fun!!

I will be heading up the Trail at 6:15pm please join me. I will be going up from the 7th Ave Trailhead it is just over 3/4 mile up and just under 450' El. Gain. Look for the glowing "9" high in the Sky. If you would like to make it a longer hike you can come up anytime and any trailhead to meet us up at "Cloud 9 Ruins." We plan on being up on Cloud 9 for a few hours enjoying each others company (come and go as you wish).

***When heading up remember if you hiked to the top of the mountain you have gone too far, we are on the south side before the summit & off to the East of trail.... the trail loops back up to the ruins***

As always, bring lots of water, nutritious snacks, hat, sturdy footwear, hiking poles (personal choice), sunscreen, camera, flashlight (for evening hikes), Gloves and any other items that you as an EXPERIENCED hiker likes to bring on hikes...and very important your sense for an Amazing Arizona Adventure!

LETS DO THIS.... Again... And make it great !! Last full Moon the weather was great, it was an Amazing night! (Even the Tailgate party in the parking lot after) So lets get everyone out to enjoy the warming/hot nights of our Amazing Arizona Desert in Beautiful South Mountains.

Full Moon Hike in South Mountain, with an Amazing Sunset first leg of the trail. With a bright full moon to finish the hike.

Last month we had an Amazing group of people, a good time was had by all! If you are interested in a little TAILGATE PARTY after the hike being held in the parking lot and enjoy a little extra time with your fellow hikers, please join bring something to share drinks or snacks.

The weather should be beautiful and HOT making this night an Amazing Arizona evening.. so lets do this Amazing hike with breath taking views.

I think this would be a good time to start doing this hike again, and again, and again. We have been doing this hike for years and we have had a great time. So come on out for a great night hike, meet Amazing people, check out a beautiful Arizona Sunset and watch the glowing Full Moon rise in the East as we move along the Ridgeline Trail. Its a good time to owl at the full moon: "If it so moves you."

South Mountain Javelina Trail

7898 S 46th St., Phoenix, AZ

Mileage: 3.8 miles

Elevation Gain: Approximately 410 feet

Trails: Javelina; Ridgeline; & Beverly Canyon (loop Hike)

Trail Rating: 2-3 / Moderate

Directions: Take I-10 to 48th Street & go South to Baseline and turn right (west) or I-10 West to Baseline and get off on Baseline Road. Head West till 46th Street and make a left (south). Drive all the way till the road ends and park in the 2nd parking lot on the left.

SUGGESTIONS: bring plenty of water, a snack if you'd like, layering clothing for change in temperature as the sun goes down it does get a little colder, a camera to capture the beautiful moon (we use the trail markers as tripods). Some hikers like to bring flashlights, and that's fine. However, between the full moon and the city lights, we have never had difficulties seeing the trail, even if it's cloudy. If you do use a flashlight, please be considerate of the people around you by not blinding them :--)

PLEASE UNDERSTAND.... This hike may not be good for a beginner or a new hiker, it is dark at times and parts of the trail can be a little challenging. We do not go fast but we do keep a good pace, and we do have a few stops to enjoy the city lights and of course the FULL MOON.

Salt River Sunset Paddle

🌅 Sunset, Sisterhood & Salt River Vibes 🌊
Join Amazing Arizona Adventures (AAA) and it’s sister Girlfriends Adventure Club (GAC)** this sunday, July 13th for a women’s-only **(sorry fellas…this one is only for the ladies)
We’re hitting the water for a sunset float down the stunning Salt River – where wild horses roam, new friendships spark, and the scenery is nothing short of soul-soothing magic.
✨ Here’s the plan, girlfriends:
· BYOK (Bring Your Own Kayak) or BYOSUP (Stand Up Paddleboard)
· Meet at Phon D. Sutton Recreation Area at 4:00 PM – this is our ending point
· Air up your floaty (Kayak/SUP), consolidate cars, and carpool/shuttle up to Water Users Recreation Site (starting point)
· Drop your gear and get ready to launch from the east end of the parking lot (by the restrooms)
· Aim to be on the river by 4:45 PM, floating into the golden hour and catching sunset glow by around 7:45 PM
🌞 What to bring (besides your amazing self):
· PFD (Personal Floatation Device) / Life Jacket
· Drinking water
· Sunblock, hat, and whatever shade of fabulous you need
· Snacks + your favorite hydrating or funbeverage
· Waterproof lights or glow sticks (hello, river rave!)
· Your adventure spirit + chill vibes
