We have recently returned from 15+ years teaching Tango in Buenos Aires Argentina. We have now started a TANGO school in Bray and we invite you to take part in our activities.
If you have never danced Argentine Tango this is your chance, you will love it!

Welcome to the First Tango Weekend in Wexford! Discover the passion of tango through classes, live music, talks, and more activities.

8.15pm - Dancing and live Argentine Tango Concert with Duo Vito Sputnik, a dynamic Argentinian duo featuring bandoneón and piano.
Vito Sputnik form part of a new generation of tango musicians from Rosario, Argentina, shaped by the Orquestra Escuela de Tango. Since 2011, they have performed across Argentina and neighbouring countries. They began touring Ireland and Scotland in 2022, with a second tour in 2023.
Their repertoire draws from early 20th-century tango orchestras, bringing back the essence of the tango that once filled the streets and daily life of Buenos Aires.

A day packed with multiple activities - Our Lady's Island Community Centre.1st ACTIVITY - 3pm Chat - Ever wonder Why we dance? but… Why do we dance Tango? Join therapist Ellina Nolan for an inspiring talk about the psychological and emotional benefits of tango. Discover why this dance form is globally loved and why it’s much more than just steps on the dance floor!
4 to 5pm Coffee Break - Take some time to relax, grab a coffee, and connect with fellow tango enthusiasts. A perfect opportunity to recharge before the next exciting activities.
2nd ACTIVITY - 5 to 5.45pm Documentary: The History of Tango Step into the fascinating world of tango through a compelling documentary that takes you from its early roots in Buenos Aires to its global rise. Gain a deeper appreciation for the cultural and social forces that shaped the dance we love today.
3rd ACTIVITY - 6 to 7.30pm Tango Dance Workshops - All Levels Whether you're a beginner or seasoned dancer, this class is for everyone! Learn new techniques, refine your moves, and explore the unique connection tango offers. The class is designed for different levels, we recommend if you are an advanced dancer to attend as a couple with similar experience, to ensure a fun and inclusive learning experience.
4th ACTIVITY - 7.30 to 9pm Special Milonga Workshop Explore the lively, rhythmic world of milonga in this focused workshop. Unlike traditional tango, milonga has its own distinct beat and playful energy. Learn how to adapt your steps to this faster-paced style while mastering the techniques needed to confidently dance milonga at any event. Perfect for dancers looking to broaden their repertoire and embrace the joy of this unique rhythm on the dance floor!
