Arts Alive! Stratford Creates.
Part of The Bridgeport Art Tail.
‘Tis the season for spooky in New England! The Arts Alliance of Stratford, in association with the Bridgeport Art Trail, is happy to announce a new workshop that utilizes our town’s rich history and culture.
Participants will meet at Sterling Community Center and then venture to the Old Congregational Burying Ground behind Stratford Library. We will learn proper procedures and techniques for creating beautiful gravestone rubbings while respecting the graveyard and stones.
Once the rubbings are complete, we will collect some leaves and return to Sterling House to experiment with leaf printing using watercolor, acrylic paint, and markers.
This workshop is suitable for all ages and artistic experiences. Participants will leave with an original grave rubbing and leaf prints.
FREE! All materials will be supplied.
