Do you prefer quiet cafes to crowded bars, art galleries to loud concerts, and peaceful nature walks to large social gatherings? Are you an introvert that would like to make some connections in the Asheville area? Are you an extrovert that likes quieter activities and would like to ‘adopt’ an introvert? I like to call myself an ambivert, and I am very familiar with the problem that making friends as an adult is hard when your favorite activities are largely solitary.
Welcome to the Asheville Introverts Meetup group!Whether you're looking to make new friends or simply enjoy some solo time in the company of others, this group should provide a relaxed and welcoming environment for introverts in Asheville.
I am planning introvert friendly activities like small gathering brunch or tea, nature walks (short and easy hikes or wandering in outdoor spaces) and visits to museums, coffee shops, art fairs, etc.

While there are no age restrictions, I am personally 33 and intend for the activities to be mostly geared toward adults in the 25 to 45 age range.
Feel free to make suggestions for events and be sure to check descriptions as some of the events I have planned include destinations that will have an entry fee.

Small Town Adventure Series: Old Fort

This small town is known for Davidson's Fort, which was established prior to the Revolutionary War and served as a post for military expeditions as well as a trading post between colonial settlers and Native Americans. Stay for the day, or drop in to whichever event(s) pique your interest! Our itinerary for the day includes:

- How are we getting from place to place? Everything downtown is a short distance from one another, so we generally plan to walk. If the weather is dicey or anyone requires mobility assistance, we can carpool as needed!
- Is this event pet friendly? This event is not designed with pets in mind. While some places we visit may allow pets, I would recommend leaving your pets at home to get the most out of the day.
- I only want to attend part of the day. How will I know where to find you? I will post updates throughout the day as we move from place to place. If you're unsure, feel free to message me! Please note that the times listed in the itinerary are approximate and are subject to change.
