It's time for our annual Death Cafe!
What is a Death Cafe? It's an opportunity for people to get together and talk about death. There is no agenda, and it is not a grief support group. We will simply talk about death. According to https://deathcafe.com/what/, the objective is "to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives." If you like, bring a beverage and a snack. Traditionally - especially in the UK, where Death Cafes originated - people drink tea and eat cake during a Death Cafe, but you do you. Looking forward to talking with you about a subject that people rarely get to discuss so openly.
Order of the Event:
1. The host welcomes everyone.
2. Introductions (you are welcome to introduce yourself verbally, type in the chat, or pass).
3. We discuss the topic.
4. At the end, the group chooses a topic for the next month's meetup.
Group Norms:
We mute ourselves when we are not talking, and we use the "raise hand" feature when we want to speak. The facilitator calls on people in the order in which he sees them raise their hands.
Google Meet:
We will meet on Google Meet, https://meet.google.com/dir-aqfc-sob.
FAQ:
Please feel free to reach out to Tre G. (he/him) or Anthony O. (he/him) with any questions. We are here to help you have a great experience with our group! We're looking forward to an enlightening and supportive discussion with you.
