What we’re about
We’re a social networking group focused on arts and culture exploration for Atlanta’s LGBTQIA+ community. We meet once or twice a month for art exhibits, concerts, and event social events - usually evenings and weekends.
In the past year, the group has held arts-focused events at the High Museum, the Fernbank, The Warehouse, Steffen Thomas Museum, Candlelight concerts, Sunday brunch at Barcelona restaurant, and more. We value suggestions from our members regarding events and places of interest.
We are a diverse group - demographically and in specific cultural interests. Join us for lively, thoughtful conversation with other upbeat LGBTQIA+ residents and make new friends in the process.
See you soon at an upcoming event.

See all- Docent tour of the Carlos Museum (Emory) and brunchCarlos Michael C Museum at Emory University, Atlanta, GA
Our March event is a special docent-led tour of the Michael C. Carlos Museum on the Emory campus, and brunch beforehand.
Per Frommers, the Carlos Museum “has been one of Georgia's best kept secrets for nearly a century (it opened in 1919). With a heavy emphasis on ancient artifacts, gathered from all over the world, the building is filled to the brim with classical, Near Eastern, American, African, and Asian art. Probably the most popular exhibit is the Egyptian Gallery, which features mummies—not just humans either; there's famously a kitten corpse wrapped in muslin, as well—along with other relics from that era. It houses an impressive 16,000 objects spread over a time period of more than 9,000 years.
The docent tour will cover two current exhibitions, Anonymous Fragments and Call and Response, and an overview of their Permanent Collection.

- Impromptu Culture Explorations calendar - January to March 2025Needs location
Culture Explorers - We're launching a new feature in 2025 - an ongoing member-hosted event calendar called Impromptu Culture Explorations.
- What it is: Any member can propose small meetups for events of interest to you that other LGBTQ Culture Explorers may wish to join.
- How it's different: Impromptu Culture Explorations are ideal for smaller gatherings that don't require event planning. I won't necessarily attend, but I'll happily help you spread the word.
- How to propose an event: Post a comment below or send me a Meetup message with this information: 1) Name of event, 2) Location and time, 3) Cost if any, 4) How members can reach you to connect in advance (e.g., your email, phone), and 5) Any relevant information about the event. I'll then add it to this calendar.
- What I need from you: 1) At least 48 hours notice for me to post, 2) Let me know in advance if you can no longer host the event (so that we don't leave members hanging.)
- How to stay in touch with what's happening: RSVP to this 'event', which really just pins this calendar to your Meetup feed.

If you’ve never seen the play (or if it’s been a while): here's a summary:
Viola, separated from her twin Sebastian, dresses as a boy and works for the Duke Orsino, whom she falls in love with. Orsino is in love with the Countess Olivia, and sends Viola to court her for him, but Olivia falls for Viola instead. Sebastian arrives, causing a flood of mistaken identity, and marries Olivia.
