What & Why:
The mission of this group is supporting connection and friendship through different monthly events, including but not limited to: board game nights, hiking, paddleboarding and book club. We also celebrate Galentine's day!
We thrive on continually being better than we were yesterday and empowering others to do the same. We understand that we are all unique and appreciate the gifts that each member brings to the group.
- As our group grows, we are interested in adding additional events and committed hosts. If you have an ongoing event you would like to host or support, please message (via Meetup) Stephanie or Erin.
A Few Things to Know About the Group:
- We charge individual members a fee of $10 for the entire year. This helps us offset the costs of running the platform and also helps us vet for active members.
- We value participation. Ideally, members of this group would attend at least 1-2 events a month. We understand this may not be practical or possible in some months, all we ask is that you update your RSVP so that the host can plan accordingly. Please note: people that no show 3+ times will be removed from the group.
- Paid events are non-refundable. Again, things come up and we totally get that- but to prevent hosts shouldering the burden of canceled reservations, we do not refund for canceled paid events.
- Cell phone use. For events that require sitting (book club, dinners, etc.) we request that you leave the table to engage in a phone call or extended texting.
- This is a non-soliciting group. Friendship is the focus of this group.
In 2024 we have been working on the 52 Hikes in 52 Weeks Challenge. We did a Lazy-Ass Biathalon series, cross country skiing, trips to hot springs, paddling, game night, stitch and bitch and other fun excursions.
Coming up in 2025, we will do another 52 in 52. We'll carry on with the same fun events we did in 2024, including celebrating Galentine's Day! If you have an activity you'd like to do, feel free to let the organizer know!
