What we’re about
Bath Board Game Design Group is a space for board game designers to collaborate, test and develop their game designs, be they tabletop RPGs, board games or a rad new Bop-It style doohickey.
We meet on the first Wednesday of every month up in the library at the Raven, Bath, for ideation sessions, workshops and presentations (£5 a head). Throughout the month we also organise free discussion meetups and playtesting sessions. So, whether you're a seasoned designer or just starting out, come along and bring a friend!
Sessions are led by me, Katie Wickens - Games Ma; tabletop & board game writer and reviewer for for Gamesradar, Dicebreaker, Senet, etc; designer of MythMash, the upcoming storytelling game for weirdos; and long-time tabletop GM. I'll be walking you through the board game design process, giving personalised feedback and advice the whole way to the final boss battle.
I'm also happy to tailor workshop content to suit your specific needs, and offer board game mock reviews for a fee, which will help you gage the media response before you release your board game design into the wild.
