Several months before the present day, a band of adventurers passed through the City State of Dennmarsh, which had been beset by a foul odor of unknown origin. It was driving its denizens from their homes, and so the adventurers were asked to aid the City State with identifying and culling the source of the smell. They discovered that, of all things, a lost pet had become entangled with dangerously reactive materials and been transformed into a completely new and dangerous beast.
After killing the creature, the man responsible for the disposal of the materials started singing a new tune, eventually casting the adventurers out of the City State. One of them, a green-haired, Humanoid-looking woman Bard named Lut, had rebelled against him, been at risk of being arrested, and been accidentally assaulted. She was very unhappy with the outcome of this encounter, and in the middle of the night, she left the band behind with no trace.
Now, these same adventurers, and perhaps some new "guests," have been invited to return to Dennmarsh under mysterious circumstances... Will they - will you - accept this call?
