What we’re about
Welcome everyone! This group is for people aged 30 to 45 who are looking to make new friends and build a community in the Bay Area. We plan to gather over coffee, brunches, dinners, board games, picnics, walks, drinks, and more.
Some housekeeping rules:
RSVPs, crashing, and no-shows: Please do not attend if you have not RSVPed or if you are not a member or a member’s guest. Crashing the events is prohibited. If you can't make it to an event, please update your RSVP at least 2 hours before the event starts. The host reserves the right to remove people from this Meetup group who are frequent no-shows.
Profile Photo: Please upload an actual photo of yourself where your face is visible. Since attendees are often meeting multiple new people during events, a photo makes it easier for them to recognize and remember you before and after events.
Expenses for food, drinks, activities: Please know that if you are attending one of our food or drinks events, you are expected to purchase at least one item from the menu. It is only fair to other attendees that you do not free-ride on their purchases in order to be at the table and also nice to give business to the restaurant/cafe or bar. Food & drinks will be at your own expense. If you are joining one of our paid activity events, each person or party is expected to pay for themselves.
Be Respectful: Respecting people's time, attention, opinions, personal choices, and personal boundaries is essential to creating safe and trusting communities. Please be respectful in interactions with group members and in content posted in this group.
Be Kind: Please be kind and friendly in all interactions. Bullying, harassment, exploitation, and acts of hate undermine community building in safe spaces where people can trust one another. This group enforces against behaviors that are threatening, intentionally malicious, or personally harmful--physically, emotionally or mentally. The host will honor requests to remove content that publicly shames or degrades a private individual.
Don't Spam: Please don’t send spam content to a member and/or the group that is irrelevant, impersonal, unsolicited, promotional, or repetitive.

The host reserves the right to approve or disapprove anyone from membership and to ban anyone from membership. Meetup rules require that these host decisions are honored and making new profiles to avoid these decisions is prohibited.
