📍 Meet at College Terrace Library, 2300 Wellesley Street, Palo Alto, CAStep back in time as we explore the charming architecture and hidden stories of Palo Alto’s College Terrace—one of the city’s oldest and most distinctive neighborhoods.
Join us for a fascinating 90-minute walking tour featuring 17 historic homes, led by architect Martin Bernstein, whose passion for and expertise in historic preservation brings these buildings and their stories to life.
Did you know College Terrace was founded in 1887—before Palo Alto itself existed? Or that its streets were named alphabetically after colleges and universities? (Hint: one street breaks the pattern—can you spot it?)
You’ll hear how a San Mateo landowner’s bold idea, a rivalry with Senator Stanford, and a series of annexations shaped this unique enclave next to Stanford University.
👟 WHAT TO EXPECT
- A leisurely 1.5-hour stroll through tree-lined streets
- Opportunities to view 17 unique lovely homes from the sidewalk

They mix pop, rock, Motown, and R&B hits from every decade — think Bruno Mars, Whitney Houston, The Eagles, and Taylor Swift — all delivered with powerhouse vocals and an irresistible groove. 🌊
Our Meetup runs 3:00–6:00 pm, so come a little early to grab your spot, say hi, and catch up before the music starts at 3:30. Then get ready to sing, dance, and soak up those feel-good Bay vibes with friends old and new.

Check out the Port's Rock the Dock concert series web page, including info on each week's band: here. All concerts take place on Saturdays, year-round. As the weather cools and Daylight Savings ends, they move indoors to St. James Gate in Belmont and play 2:30-5:30 pm.🅿️ PARKING
- Main Lot: The Port’s main parking lot fills quickly.
- Overflow Lot: If the main lot is full, use the overflow lot just east of the main entrance on Seaport Blvd.
- How to Enter: Instead of turning left into the main lot, make a soft diagonal left just before the median (yes, it feels like you’re heading toward oncoming traffic!) and go through the gate.
- Walking Route: After parking, walk back out to Seaport Blvd to get to the dock.
