We will hike the Bays Mountain Lakeside Trail at 8:30 a.m. The park officially opens at 8:30, and it takes about five minutes to drive up. So let’s meet at the Nature Center promptly at 8:35.
If the hike needs to be canceled due to weather or another reason, a message will be posted the day before the event.
The Bays Mountain Lakeside Trail is about 2.5 miles long with several significant uphill climbs. Dress appropriately for a hike, including proper shoes. Depending on recent weather, there may be mud, running water, or standing water in several places. In addition, some roots can be found on the trail. You should be cautious throughout the hike.
Consider bringing a bottle of water and a snack. Depending on the number of attendees and their experience, the hike should take 1.5 to 2 hours.
