Join us for a fitness session at Beachy Head to get moving outdoors! It is a session for all levels.
A few words from Baba, the instructor who will be leading the session:
'Hi, my name is Baba, and I will be your instructor for the Beachy Head boot camp fitness session. The aim of the session is to get people from different age groups, backgrounds and fitness levels from the local community involved in a fun outdoors exercise session. Using the beautiful location of Beachy Head to promote a positive mental and physical lifestyle. The session will consist of a 10-minute warmup, followed by a 40-minute session that focuses on simple but effective exercises that will get you moving and working on your strength, mobility and muscular endurance of the upper and lower body. The session will end with a 10-minute cooldown.
No equipment will be required, just bring yourself, appropriate clothing and footwear, something to drink and lots of energy. The main takeaway from this session is to provide people with the opportunity to learn and try different exercises that they can implement into their daily life that are fun, accessible and beneficial to one’s health and wellbeing.'
Baba’s background:
'I am an exercise and respiratory physiologist. With a MSc in sports, health and exercise sciences (human performance). Specialising in fitness training, exercise biomechanics and injury prevention at the Sovereign Centre during the weekends.'
We will meet on the area of grass opposite the Beachy Head pub. The Beachy Head Ambassadors who are hosting this session will be dressed in green polos and navy jackets so just keep a look out for us.
In case of bad weather, we will notify the group ahead of the session to let you know that it is cancelled but fingers crossed we get a beautiful sunny evening.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
