What we’re about
My wife and I are recent part-time residents who thought it might be nice to get together with other Berkshirians for dinners, theater, museums or other social activities. This is such a wonderful area with so much to do and we thought it would be fun to share our enthusiasm and enjoyment of the many resources and activities that the Berkshires offers. As our group gets going I'd like to anticipate meeting for some interesting activities at least once a month. The goal would be to not only enjoy these wonderful activities but to foster and nurture friendships. I'd like to propose that attendance at any get together be limited to no more than eight or ten people as I've found that larger groups don't really allow for people to 'connect' too readily and local restaurants often would have difficulty accommodating larger groups. If you have any questions, suggestions or observations, don't hesitate to contact me through the Meetup app/website.
Going forward the following policy will be in effect:
Subject to organizer's discretion, any member who RSVP's to an event will be expected to attend or change their RSVP no less than 48 hours prior to the event. Any violation of these expectations will result in removal from the group.
I hope you understand the need for this policy and ask that everyone be respectful of other group members' time and desire to meet one another.
