What we’re about
We love to discover the beautiful nature around Berlin, the good (or not so good) restaurants and the even more beautiful lakes! Mostly by bike at a relaxed pace.
We want to have a completely stress-free, good time in good company.
So, let's enjoy summer and come on a ride with us!
You are welcome to suggest & organise your own meetup!
Just get in touch and we'll gladly help.

========== FACTS =================== DETAILS =========
NOTE:
This is a 2-day tour and the idea is to cycle out there, have a delicious Dinner and cycle back TOGETHER!
They do offer vegetarian options but maybe no vegan (please check yourself if you prefer that).
I will also invite ppl. from the Wait list 4-6 week prior so that they could check for an accomodation.ROUTE:
This is the yearly visit to one of the best restaurants in Brandenburg, the Seehof Rheinsberg, www.seehof-rheinsberg.de
A place certainly not to be missed! This time we start in Kratzeburg to cycle "downhill", ar least mapwise.
The first 15 km gets us through the Nature reserve until we arrive at the Boeker Mühle at the Müritz. Depending on mood and weather we can have a first swim there.Leaving Boek we return to nature and arrive after 7 km at the former Airfield Lärz which is now the location for the famous Fusion Festival, https://www.fusion-festival.de.
Being back on public ground we head further to Schwarz and then to Zempow. Well known for its "Einladen", https://einladenzempow.wordpress.com where we stop for a Coffee (and a cake?) and some quail's eggs before we finally head down the remaining 20 km to Rheinsberg on a solid cycling path. There we're awaited for a most delicious dinner at the Seehof Rheinsberg at around 18:30.
If the time permits we can have a last swim at the Kleiner Linowsee just 4 km before Rheinsberg.
All in all this is planned to be a relaxed tour but being there at Dinner time requires to not forget time at all.
SPEED:
Leisurely around 12 km/h, at least if the wind doesn't come from the front.
This is like "Being able to see the details on the side of the road and enjoying the view in general… and have a chat."DISTANCE AND TERRAIN:
This is an about 62ish km ride, with mainly solid but also some forrest or soft ground.
In general: Bikes with thin tyres (Race bikes, Road bikes, Fixies), rented bikes (Uber, Swapfiets) or any special bikes (Folding bikes, BMX etc.) are not suitable! You won't have fun, trust me!
And if you want to bring Kids or Animals please get in touch before!MEETING POINT:
08:15 - Berlin Südkreuz
I have a blue Villiger Trekking bike.TICKET:
Since the chao… situation regarding tickets hasn't really improved I buy one Berlin-Brandenburg-Ticket and invite the first 4 people who get in touch to join me on that ticket. Please bring cash!
All others: please feel free to organise your own Ticket/BBT.
Don't forget a "Single fare ticket bicycle entire VBB-network"WAY OUT:
TBA
Feel free to hop in at any other station.WAY BACK:
There is no way back since that day we're all staying in Rheinsberg.RECOMMENDATIONS:
Check the train schedule in the morning! The DB loves to stir up the plans by changing trains on short notice! If anything happens the Meeting point is the starting point of the cycling. While we'll stop somewhere for a lunch and/or coffee please always bring your snacks but especially some drinks along!
And, PLEASE make sure your bike is in a proper state! Check your tyre pressure and oil the chain! Does your light work?
Having a toolset is highly recommended and a spare inner tube to fix a flat tyre a big plus! While we might be able to help in some circumstances please think about what happens if we can't! Thank you!Bringing special equipment (Helmet, safety vest etc.) is NOT required but welcome if you feel more safe using it.
