Mission
To provide affordable refurbished bicycles to children, youth, and adults in our community.
We provide FREE bicycles to meet the transportation, health, and wellness needs of clients referred by over 20 nonprofits and human services agency partners. We accomplish this through bargain priced bike sales to help cover overhead costs.
How It Works
The Bicycle Co-Op is a volunteer-run project of BikeWalk Williamsburg, a 501c3 non-profit. Mechanical volunteers refurbish donated and reclaimed bicycles for renewed use, keeping them out of landfills. Customer service volunteers help fit and distribute bikes to voucher clients and customers.
We also offer education and mentoring through our DIY Repair Hours and community classes.
How To Help
