Welcome to the Black Expats Meetup Group!
After over 8 years of living abroad and being part of several Black-focused, online expat and travel groups, I realized there needed to be an online hangout spot for those of us who already moved abroad to chat and also a place to hang out for those wanting to move abroad but don't know how. So that's what this group is! Our online Meet n' Greet for Black folk.
When we have our meetups, we can share tips, ask questions or just hang out! This is an online meetup group, but of course, we can organize meetups in person wherever we are.
This group is for Black folks and families living abroad who want to connect with others to share their experiences and interests. Whether you're looking to network, socialize, or simply share tips on expat life, this group is for you. Join us to chat, practice languages, explore local culture, attend events, and build a supportive community of like-minded individuals. Let's come together to make the most of our time as Black expats in our new home countries.
This online community is to be co-constructed with y'all so come with good intentions, joyful hearts and your desire to learn and share. Please note, for the comfort of all, during our online meetups, cameras MUST be on & attendees visible.
