- DRIVE-IN MOVIES! Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025 @ 6:15pmMeijer's, Hamilton, OH
Let’s have an old-school experience by going to the “HOLIDAY AUTO THEATRE” for a drive-in movie! ADDRESS: 1816 Old Oxford Road, Hamilton BUT WE ARE NOT COMING HERE FIRST!
I’ve been to the Holiday Auto Theatre a couple of years ago and let me tell you, it was sooo much FUN! They show first-run movies and a double feature; two movies each night. And, I can’t tell you WHAT they will be showing in August – their movie schedule doesn’t go that far out.
What I CAN tell you is you would be coming for the EXPERIENCE! Before the 1990s drive-in movie theatres were more common and a kick to go enjoy! There’s a snack station and a playground for the kids. Then we sit in the car or outside of the car in our lawn chairs and listen to the movie via the big screen movie speaker, or via our car radios turned to a particular radio station. We can bring our snacks, small cooler, etc. (but NO ALCOHOL) 😊
PRICE: $11.00/per person. 7:00PM - GATES OPEN. 8:55PM - FIRST MOVIE STARTS. 11:30PM SECOND MOVIE STARTS. YOU CAN LEAVE AT ANY TIME. Here’s their website: https://www.holidayautotheatre.com/
WHAT WE’LL DO: 6:15PM - We are going to meet in the Meijer’s parking lot in Hamilton (I will have a yellow balloon to let you know where we are!) ADDRESS: 1560 Main St., Hamilton 45013. The purpose of this is so we can follow each other and line up so we can stay together. Meijers is very close to the drive-in.
If you don’t want to drive, you can let your car stay parked (and LOCKED UP) in the Meijer’s lot – I cleared it with the store management. You can ride with me or any member who wants to offer a ride. Just bring your lawn chair and snacks. As the time gets closer, I’ll look into the movie schedule to see what is playing (Note: I don’t like horror films, but I’ll tolerate it just to make this event happen 😊)
If you have any concerns, message me or comment on our Event page.
I know you’re gonna like it and you may choose to come back with your family or friends someday! It’s all about L-O-V-E, you know…
