What we’re about
Welcome board gamers! Come and play board games with us! We meet once a week in downtown Helsinki.
We are a casual group so people come and go over the course of the evening. It doesn't matter if you can't make it at exactly 6 PM, but be ready to wait for the next game if you come in late. We play a wide variety of games that usually take 20–90 minutes to finish but do occasionally play more complex games for 2+ hours.
Additionally we sometimes do escape rooms and other fun things in Helsinki. These are sometimes unannounced, so check back often to secure your spot!

Pay the 5 € board gaming fee to the bar at the counter when you arrive. You must be at least 18 years old to enter Arkade. Tuesdays at Arkade is a small unhosted gaming evening, where participants tend to agree on our WhatsApp or Discord communities ahead of time whether to show up: if the event has no RSVPs there's no guarantee that people from our group will show up.
If you're looking for something more lively, our main events on Thursdays have regularly gotten over 20 participants in 2025 (despite the RSVP numbers on Meetup).
The venue has a great board game library and other players usually bring their own games too: our selection varies weekly. We're a very casual group so you're welcome to arrive early or late and join whatever game is starting up, there is no attendance tracking, or welcoming process.
The bar has alcoholic drinks, cocktails, mocktails, and soft drinks available as well as some snack foods. They've been okay with people ordering food to the bar with meal delivery services.
