What we’re about
"Ludos Eboracum" is a new group for York Board Gamers... We're a very friendly group of people who love to play board games - but not those boring old board games like Monopoly or Risk... but modern board games that you might not have heard of, but will love to play... Games like Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan, Code Names and Exploding Kittens!
We'll be meeting up a few Sundays a month in local York bars, where you can share a pint, learn some new games and make new friends. Because we'll be meeting on weekends, there will be a chance to really sink your teeth into some longer games if you want!
We won't be charging a fee to attend, but hope that you'll order a few drinks at the bar (or even better yet, order some food!) so that we can keep using the venue. There's convenient parking nearby, and our venues are all dog-friendly so feel free to bring your best friends along with you!
If you're able to bring along a game or two that you would be happy to teach someone else, that's great, but if you're completely new to this, don't worry - we LOVE teaching new games to newbies. If you're worried if you'll fit in, don't!!! When you arrive, ask for one of the organisers and they'll do their best to make sure you find a group of players to join so you have the best time possible!
