Whether it's a film full of hidden symbolism or a novel that stayed with you long after the last page, you're in the right place.
This group is for readers and film lovers in the Henderson/Las Vegas area who want to discuss movies, books, and everything in between in a relaxed & welcoming space.
We meet regularly at The Coffee Press, a cozy coffee shop at the Paseo Verde Library in Henderson, at Green Valley Ranch.

Each meetup gives you an opportunity to slow down, get inspired, and enjoy meaningful conversation with others who appreciate the details, emotions, and ideas behind great storytelling, whether they're from a novel, a screenplay, a cult classic or the latest blockbuster.
Enjoy thought-provoking conversations, about books and films, in a relaxed & welcoming space. Whether you're here to make new friends, rediscover your love of storytelling, or just unwind with great coffee and conversation, this group will become your new favorite weekly ritual.

How It Works
- Everyone is welcome, whether you're a regular reader or prefer watching the film adaptations.
- Got a film or book suggestion? Great! We'll rotate themes to keep things fresh and inclusive.
- Please try to read the book or watch the film beforehand so we can dive into meaningful discussion. (Spoilers are fair game!)
- Feel free to bring articles, reviews, or share online content you found thought-provoking, as discussion is encouraged!
- We'll aim to cover major cinema blockbusters, as well as indie films and book adaptations.
- We will aim to watch films that are available on major streaming platforms or are new at the cinema - and books that are readily available at the library or to buy in bookstores/online.
- Interested in hosting a meetup? Message the organizers, as we love rotating voices.

🗓 Weekly Meetup Schedule (to be confirmed)
Tuesdays, 5pm - 7pm – 🎬 Film Discussions:
Each session will spotlight a different film, spanning genres like romance, sci-fi, foreign cinema, cult classics, book adaptations and hidden gems. Some events will be Audience Favorites (where members vote on a theme-based suggestion list), and others will be Director's Cut, chosen by a host.
Saturdays, 9am – 11am – 📚 Book Chats:
From page-turning thrillers to literary fiction and memoirs, we’ll read and discuss books that spark rich, engaging conversations. Expect a wide variety of genres and thoughtful themes. We'll also aim to do a regular "Now a Motion Picture" book, so we can discuss & compare both the book & movie adaptations.
