Check out our calendar for our book chat schedule. In addition, we attend and discuss movies, hold book exchange parties, attend author lectures, hike, and eat fabulous meals together along with a variety of other events that capture our interest.
Annual dues are collected in Nov/Dec for $10 to cover the cost of the Meetup site.
Note: We currently have a waitlist to join. As we have turnover in membership, we will approve new members on a first come, first serve basis.

See all- CLASS: Glacial Geology of Waukesha CountyUW-Waukesha, Waukesha, WI
This is a 2-part Class:
- 11/7 from 7pm-8:50pm: in a classroom at UWM at Waukesha
- 11/9 from 9am to 12 noon: in the field at various locations
The beautiful landscape of Waukesha County owes its origin to the mile-high glaciers that moved out of Canada during the Ice Age and covered most of Wisconsin. As the glaciers began to melt 15,000 years ago, they exposed the hills, valleys, ponds and lakes we now call home. What’s a kettle in the Kettle Moraine? What’s a drumlin on the Glacial Drumlin Trail? What is the difference between a mammoth and a mastodon? Learn how the powerful forces of moving ice and melt water shaped the landscape and animals of this very special corner of the world we call Waukesha County.
We will visit several geological sites in the western part of the county including Lapham Peak, the UWM-Waukesha Field Station and the Kettle Moraine State Forest. There will be several short walks.
