Baby boomers were born between 1944 and 1964. Boomer Girls is for those of us who are looking for friends who can relate to the phase in our life somewhere between remembering Marcia Brady and how big we could get our hair in the 80s without the high school gossiping.
We are a KIND group, with many of us facing challenges in life. We ask that if you do not have something kind to say, keep it to yourself. Bad behavior is not received well. There are plenty of other groups out there that do not hold the same standards as ours, and you are free to explore them.
We collect $7 per calendar year for dues. These dues support our Meetup costs and activities. We have a trial period of 30 days after signup for you to determine if we are a fit for you. If dues are not collected, you may receive a message reminder or be removed from the group. That does not mean you cannot rejoin and pay dues at any time.
Ladies, we have a policy regarding late cancellations and “no showing” when it comes to RSVPing for events that have a waitlist. Canceling same day or day before, or “no showing” is not fair to members who want to attend events, and are on the waitlist. It’s also not fair to people who work in venues and lose time and income when this happens.
Obviously, emergencies are going to happen and exceptions will be made. Contact the organizer. We want to be fair to everyone, so in the future please be sure you can actually ATTEND an event that has a waitlist. Thanks for being, kind, considerate, and thoughtful of everyone else. Ladies that cannot at minimum be kind will be removed from the group.
In January every year, we go through the membership list to clean it up. If you have not paid dues AND are not active, you will be removed. You are free to rejoin if you choose to participate and at the least pay dues anytime. We always will welcome you back.
