What we’re about
If you were born in the Baby Boomer years (between 1946 and 1964) or even before or after and enjoy finding other people with similar interests to participate in the many events in Greater Greenville, this is the Meetup for you!
Perhaps you would like to attend a play, see a movie, go for a walk, or meet friends over drinks or dinner. We have many different events each month and hope you will find one or more of them that interest you. We are a friendly, active and welcoming group and are always happy to have new members.
We request that all Boomers members, both existing and new, have a headshot photo uploaded to their Boomers profile. This will make it easier to recognize each other when we get together.
The ‘Boomers Connect in Upstate SC’ Meetup group does not officially collect dues through the Meetup website. We prefer to have a voluntary donation system. You can give your Event Host or one of the Organizers your contribution at any event. We have no set minimum but recommend $5.00 annually. This helps us pay for the annual fee we are charged by Meetup.com as well as incidentals of running the group. Or you can send them to Bill Pedersen, Boomers Connect in Upstate SC, Organizer, using PayPal by using a Friends and Family transfer to paypal.me/WilliamAPedersen.
Please note that members will be removed from Boomers if they have not signed onto the website within six months. You are welcome to rejoin the meetup group at any time in the future should you have a renewed interest in our activities.
We hope you will decide to join us and we look forward to meeting you at one of our many enjoyable events!

See all- Dinner at Limoncello RestaurantLimoncello, Greenville, SC
Let's try someplace new again! Join us for dinner at Limoncello Restaurant (a member of the Larkin family of restaurants) on Tuesday, July 15, at 5:30 PM. Check the website at Limoncellogvl.com for their delicious Italian food menu offerings. They are located at 401 River St., Greenville (the street behind the Peace Center).
Parking Notes:
1.) Some street parking is available on W. Broad St., W. Court St. and S. Laurens St.
2.) There are 3 public parking garages, each within a 5-minute walk to the restaurant: 414 River St. (across from Limoncello's), 300 River St. (ground level of the Embassy Suites), and another on W. Court St. (near River St.). You can park at any of these 3 garages for 3 hours for a total of only $3.As always, if you do sign up and then find you cannot make it, please change your status to 'Not Going' so that someone from the Waitlist can take your spot.
Also, the restaurant has limited us to 20 people, so in fairness to existing members that want to attend, you cannot invite guests. If you do have a spouse or friend that wants to attend, simply have them join Boomers. It only takes a few minutes, and we are always happy to have new members.
PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION TO BOOMERS TO HELP US PAY OUR 2025 ANNUAL FEE OF $300 TO MEETUP.COM
