What we’re about
We cook together, drink wine, and socialize. Our aim is for all members to walk away with a new recipe they can cook and with new friends. We play Burt Bacharach, Herb Alpert, Frank Sinatra, and Bossa Nova in the background.
Our meetup generally starts with someone volunteering their kitchen (from 2 -6 people sharing the space) for a Saturday nite of cooking. They suggest an entree to cook, or we let one of our resident great cooks suggest an entree - then we come together via a chat to suggest side dishes and wine to bring.
We have hosts all over Boston to accommodate the Boston geography, so often have events every Saturday in a given month. We ask for a $15 donation to help offset the Meetup organizer fees.
We have a quickly growing group and want to give those willing to host an event first priority in the signup order (it's what makes this group going! - it can be for as little as three members hosted). The second priority is given to new members who have not yet attended an event to give everyone a chance to jump in.
