What we’re about
Hi! We are the BOURNEMOUTH BOGHOPPERS!
We are into walking, dining out, theatre visits, local bands nights, country pubs, barbecues, making friends and socialising. The group was called the Bournemouth Boghoppers over 30 years ago when we took over from the original S.E. Dorset YHA Group. The nickname has stuck and has become our official title. We have no fixed age range but most of our members are in their late forties, fifties & early sixties. We aim to have regular weekend walks in the Purbecks, across Dorset and the New Forest (usually 7 - 10 miles in length) and we've recently started a programme of shorter (4 -6 miles) midweek walks exploring East Dorset. Please note that this group does not allow dogs on the walks.
Walks & events are led by volunteers and whilst we are very happy to guide you - you are responsible for your own safety & wellbeing at all times.
The price of membership is £5 per annum to cover running costs and we offer a two month period to try us before you join. Annual Membership runs from 1st March each year. Our account is with Nat West. BOURNEMOUTH BOGHOPPERS a/c no 88866386. Sort code 51-81-18
