Meet new people and explore New York City with an inclusive have-fun oriented cycling group. Scenic rides, foodie rides, and longer adventures - it's all about fun on two wheels!
Please follow our rules:
1. Be kind. Welcome and encourage other riders. Insults, shaming, and hate will be removed, and offenders will be banned.
2. Your safety is your responsibility. Helmets are required. Lights are required if riding in darkness. It is each rider’s responsibility to ensure their bike is clean, well-maintained, and fully functional.
3. All bikes are welcome. Occasional Brompton-only events will be clearly labeled. Contact your local Brompton dealer if you'd like to borrow a Brompton for an event (participation may vary).
4. If your plans change, please update your RSVP.

Anyone looking for inspiration and community for your wellness practice? Let's ride the Prospect Park Loop with a friendly group of Bromptons and enjoy free yoga in the beautiful Long Meadow.
Brompton Ride (6:30pm)
This is a chill ride. We'll do one loop around the park at moderate speed, ending at Prospect Park's Long Meadow for free yoga.View the Brompton route at this link: Ride with GPS
Free Yoga (7pm)
Prospect Park Alliance presents free, outdoor yoga on the Long Meadow in a low-pressure, beautiful environment with hundreds of New Yorkers.

After yoga we'll set up a picnic in Long Meadow. Please bring a blanket, beverage, and snacks to share. Sunset is at 8:30 and there will be a beautiful half moon.What to Bring

- The ride ends after dark. Please ensure you have a fully charged head lamp and rear lamp.
Important Notes
- Please sign up in advance for free yoga via the Prospect Park Yoga official site. (You only need to do this once per summer.)
- We depart on the ride at exactly 6:30pm - this is to ensure we're on time for yoga. If you're running late, you can meet us at Long Meadow.
- Prospect Park restroom opening times are inconsistent - they will likely be closed. Please plan accordingly and use the bathroom before arrival.
- Free yoga is provided by Prospect Park and anyone can sign up (i.e. no need to join this meetup unless you're joining the ride and picnic.)
Weather and Cancellation
We'll cancel the ride if the weather looks rainy, or the ground is wet from prior downpours. It's no fun to do yoga or picnics on wet grass! We'll announce any cancellations by noon the day of the ride.Our Community Rules:

Intro:
Summer is here and the time is right for biking in the streets. This ride will be considered intermediate to advanced based on the distance. Riders should be comfortable riding in a group setting. There will be pit stops along the way to take photos, water breaks, etc. Our goal is to keep the group on the road as much as possible and then cut loose at Johnnys. If you have never done the City Island ride, you're in for a treat.This ride is for seafood lovers! Discover a different side to The Bronx as part of our neighborhood series rides

Meeting:
We will meet at the Brompton Junction at 11am and head out for a bike ride to City Island in the Bronx. This will be our second go around since we did this ride in March.The Ride:
We will work our way along the east side and into the Bronx along the newly paved Grand Concourse which has bike lanes. Johnnys Reef in City Island will be the venue. They have good seafood at very reasonable prices. Remember to bring cash as they do not accept credit cards. They do have restrooms and on site ATM.The Venue
Johnnys is popular amongst various cycling clubs and we are glad to visit this venue.On the way back we can hop on 242st station and make our way back to NYC.
Depending on how people feel and weather, there is an option to extend the ride and work our way back.
