What we’re about

WHY I DECIDED TO START THE GROUP? Back in April 2012, Brothas and Sistas Night Out was created to bring more Brothas and Sistas together for good times, great food, and genuine connection. Ready to get out, meet amazing people, and keep building this community, Tracie Smith-McCarthy jumped in as organizer in October 2024 to keep the magic going. Our mission? To create a space for fellowship, grow a thriving community, and spark lasting relationships—all through unforgettable evenings packed with fun, laughter, and the uplifting company of positive Brothas and Sistas of African descent.

WHO SHOULD JOIN? Fun and Positive Black Men and Women

CALENDAR: The calendar is open for everyone—so jump in, add your events, connect, and let’s make memories together! Join, share, meet, and enjoy the great company!

MEET UP GROUP RULES:

  • Be On Time

Please arrive on time or a few minutes early to make the most of the event. This helps avoid disruptions and keeps everyone on schedule.

  • RSVP Responsibly and Respectfully

Two (2) No-Shows in a row and you will be removed from the group. Only RSVP if you genuinely plan to attend. If your plans change, update your RSVP status as soon as possible so the organizer and other members can plan accordingly.

  • Respect Others’ Space and Boundaries

We are adults but I’m gonna say it anyway…. Be mindful of personal space and boundaries. Keep conversations respectful and inclusive, and respect others’ opinions, even if they differ from yours.

  • Be Positive and Have Fun!

Bring a positive attitude, be open to meeting new people, and enjoy the event. Let’s make it a welcoming environment for everyone.
