Who are Social Sport?
Social Sport was set up to face two main challenges in cities like Cambridge:
- Limited opportunities for those moving here to meet new people and socialise genuinely.
- Lack of casual sports clubs for young professionals.
We started with our New Sport Every Week session, voted for by people in our community. Since then, we have played over 18 different sports, and play 7 weekly, all of which were set up based on feedback from those who join our events!
Please note this session is popular and has a set number of places. If you do not secure your place prior to attending and the event is full you will not be able to play.

- Climbing at Rainbow RocketRainbow Rocket , Cambridge
Come bouldering with Climbridge, the newest climbing club in Cambridge!
All abilities are welcome! The walls are covered in routes suitable for complete beginners up to very experienced climbers, and we have regular climbers across the range! Most often, we're around 5~10 regulars, and once most have arrived we then tend to split into smaller groups!
We'll meet inside - in the furthest room, at the rainbow slab, see the map. Alternatively look for my t-shirt with the Climbridge logo on (white or green t-shirt with black logo)!
One-off entry is £16, however drops to £13.25/visit for regulars if you buy entry in bulk (10 entry punch card). Shoe hire is also available.
Climbers new to Rainbow Rocket need to pre-register online.
RR is a dedicated indoor bouldering centre - there's no harnesses, ropes etc as the walls are not too high. Each week a zone of the centre is reset, meaning there is always a fresh challenge waiting!
For those who fancy climbing more frequently visit the Climbridge website - there you'll find details of upcoming events such as indoor roped climbing in Milton Keynes, London and even some outdoor events. There is also a WhatsApp group for impromptu climbs/pub visits:
Join the Climbridge WhatsApp Community
Please note that this event is not run by Social Sport and will not appear on their website. If you have any questions, you can contact Climbridge directly!
