Welcome ladies who want to learn canyoneering/canyoning core skills!!. We provide online and in-person education. We are a not for profit women's organization dedicated to promoting women in the sport of canyoneering through clinics, camps, scholarships, community, and Ladies Only Canyoneering
Festivals. Canyoneering Chicks facilitates the opportunity for women to learn from other women how to become skilled, competent, and self-reliant Canyoneers. Canyoneering Chicks achieves its aims through:

Skills to be taught: Instructors Charleen Angell Pro Guide and Jerry Ayala ACA Aspirant and University of Utah Canyoneering Program Instructor
Knots: Know how to tie and analyze the following canyoning knots: overhand with a bight, Figure 8 on a bight, Figure 8, Figure 8 follow through, Figure 8 bend, Double Fisherman, Water Knot, Clove hitch, Munter hitch, 3 wrap prusik, Klemhiest, and Auto Block.
Construct Anchors: Competently construct and analyze natural and man-made anchor systems using D.E.A.R and E.A.R.N.E.S.T. Simple wrap, girth hitch, wrap 2 pull 1, wrap 3 pull 2, basket, and multipoint natural and bolted anchor systems.
Construct Rigging Systems: Competently construct and analyze static and releasable rigging systems: Static Blocks Toss n’ Go, Knot Block, and Carabiner Block. Releasable Blocks: Releasable Figure 8 contingency block, releasable Munter mule overhand rigging, (MMO).

Assistant Anchor Manager: First Person at Risk, FPAR
Self-Rescue: master the skills to rescue yourself on a rappel line.
Buddy Check: Demonstrate a competent buddy check.
Passing the Knot: Ascend to a knot, pass the knot, keep ascending, transition to rappel, rappel down to the knot, and pass the knot.Refund Policy: We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We’ll be running canyons Saturday and Sunday. Pleiades Waterfall and Entrajo/Cluster Canyon. Potluck on Saturday night. Prep meeting Monday before event 7 pm online.

Whistle**The American Canyoneering Academy recommended signals involve both long and short blasts:
- 1 long blast = stop/attention.
- 2 long blasts = off rope.
- 3 long blasts = Lower the rope.
- 4 short blasts = Take up the rope.
- 5+ long blasts = Emergency.
