The A2.1 level course is perfect for learners with 75 to 100+ hours of Spanish study and provides the tools you need to progress effectively.

All topics are tailored for real-life application and aligned with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) guidelines.
Our A2.1 course consists of 38 unique lessons, ensuring new and exciting content in every session—no repetitions!

Class Details:

• Duration: Up to 2 hours
• Schedule: Mondays at 7:00 p.m.
• Fee: $2 per session (+ $0.46 transaction fee), totaling $2.46 per lesson

If you can't attend, you may request to reschedule your session with at least 24 hours' notice. Refunds or rescheduling requests made within less than 24 hours will not be accommodated.

In this lesson we will cover:
● Puedo conjugar verbos en pretérito indefinido y pretérito imperfecto. ● Puedo utilizar ambos tiempos verbales en una misma frase.
Uso del pretérito indefinido:
● Se usa para acciones puntuales en el pasado.
● Se usa para acciones que empiezanen el pasado y terminanen ese momento del pasado.
Conjugación del pretérito indefinido: ● Eliminamos –ar, –er, –ir (quedar, tomar) y añadimos las terminaciones: ●-ar: -é, -aste, -ó, -amos, -aron
●-er: -i, -iste, -ió, -imos, -ieron
●-ir: í, -iste, -ió, -imos, -ieron
Uso del pretérito imperfecto:
● Describe una acción no terminada en un momento específico del pasado.
● Describe cualidades de una persona o cosa en el pasado.
● Describe acciones habituales del pasado; una rutina del pasado.
Conjugación del pretérito imperfecto:
● Conjugación regular –ar: -aba, -abas, -aba, -ábamos, -aban
● Conjugación regular –er, -ir: -ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -ían
Pretérito imperfecto con pretérito indefinido:
● Aparecen juntos para explicar algo del pasado: una situación tenía lugar, cuando de repentepasó algo.
● La acción más larga va en imperfecto; es una acción más duradera.
La acción más corta, que empieza y termina mientras la acción larga tiene lugar, va en indefinido.

This will be a one time offering of German language course. Being Swiss, I do speak the Zurich dialect but the course with be in standard German.

### Who Is This Course For?

This is a total beginner class. If you have completed a similar german elementary course before, I strongly encourage you skip the course and wait for the appropriate level to be offered.

### A Yearlong Learning Experience

This is a yearlong course, running for 50 weeks starting April, allowing for steady and meaningful progress over time. Each 1.5 to 2-hour weekly session focuses on vocabulary, communication, grammar, and reading, following the CEFR A1 standards.

A1 Standards:

• Understand and extract meaning from basic phrases and short conversations.
• Understand simple written texts, such as signs, and labels. You can grasp the main idea as well as extract basic information from short messages, postcards, and simple descriptions.
• Engage in basic conversations using simple vocabulary and phrases. You can exchange greetings, and also provide basic personal information.
• Write simple sentences. You can fill out basic forms, and write basic personal letters or emails using simple language structures.
• Lastly, you are also familiar with the basic cultural aspects of German-speaking countries.

Please read the instructions carefully. Each class has a $2 fee.
