What we’re about
If you love to walk and meet people outside of the usual places, this group is for you. It's open to everyone of all ages. (It's not a hiking group -- we won't be climbing anything -- though hikers are welcome.) 😊
We'll visit some of the best spots, including safe trails, in Kennebec and Somerset counties. If the group grows, we can schedule visits farther away.
• Walks will average 2-4 miles.
• Lunch or dinner (including takeout, picnics, etc.) or visiting a nearby local event is an option after the walk.
• Meetings will last a few hours and take place mostly on weekends and occasional weekdays, like Fridays, at least twice a month.
It's a chance to get out more and meet new people while you enjoy a favorite pastime.
Thanks, and I look forward to meeting you and walking with you sometime.
Event cancellations/rescheduling: If there will be a major wind or rainstorm or it will be hot and humid without a breeze (80 degrees Fahrenheit or above), the event will be cancelled and rescheduled. I'll try to give at least 48 hours' notice.

See all- Pineland Farms Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch With Self-Guided TourPineland Farms, New Gloucester, ME
During this event, we'll take a self-guided tour of the dairy farm and family farmyard, which might take two hours. We can also visit the Pumpkin Patch for pumpkin picking and walk through the five-acre corn maze. The patch is next to the maze. I don't know the walking distance of the maze; it might be at least a mile or two.
I haven't been there before, but I've read that it's a fun experience. It looks like a "rain or shine" event.
NOTE: This event requires the purchase of a ticket for $6.00. Tickets might be more limited there, so it could be better to buy tickets online in advance instead. Buy yours for 11:00 am on Saturday, Oct. 26, here.
Pineland Farms also has their own market on-site, which makes it a convenient lunch option if we're up to it.
Where we'll meet: In the main parking lot at the "Main Business Campus"/Outdoor Center.
