What we’re about
Welcome to the ADHD Empowerment™ community hosted by CHADD of California, the state chapter of Children & Adults with ADHD (CHADD), the leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to ADHD education, advocacy, and support.
Our award-winning (2019, 2022 Chapter of the Year) chapter offers 30+ opportunities to connect each month, including in-person and online peer support groups, educational workshops, and skill-building events—plus a thriving Discord community where members can share resources, ask questions, and find encouragement any time. While our in-person efforts focus on serving communities across California, our virtual meetings and Discord proudly welcome participants from all over the world into our vibrant and inclusive community.
Our community members encompass all individuals impacted by ADHD—including adults and teens with ADHD, parents and caregivers, and professionals who support the ADHD community such as educators, coaches, therapists, clinicians, and childcare providers. Whether you're here for support, connection, or continuing education, there's a space for you here.
How to Join and Participate
Our meetings are free for current dues-paying CHADD members who have joined at www.chadd.org and selected CHADD of California (or CHADD of Greater Los Angeles or another local California chapter) as their home chapter.
Not yet a dues-paying CHADD member?
Visit https://bit.ly/JoinCHADD — and select CHADD of California (or your local California chapter) during registration. For $75 annually, your CHADD membership not only supports our state programs and our ADHD Empowerment community—it also includes:
- Access to members-only national education events and support groups
- An annual subscription to Attention Magazine
- Discounts on CHADD’s Annual International Conference and other events
- The knowledge that you're directly supporting ADHD advocacy and public policy efforts across the country!
Not ready to become a member?
No problem! If you’re not yet a dues-paying member, contributing a donation for each meeting you attend is the norm. Most attendees give between $10–$20 per meeting, and your support directly funds the operational costs of our peer groups, educational events, and outreach efforts that keep this community strong and growing.
