We are a friendly group for beginners, professionals, and everyone else in between who simply love to shoot photographs. We can all learn from one another about taking better photos, seeing different places, meeting new people, and having lots of fun. If you use a Mirrorless, DSLR/SLR, Film, Point & Shoot, iPhones, Disposable Cameras . . . join us!
We try to do one in-person photo walk every month, during which we collect our
regular $3 dues. Then, we meet on Zoom, usually the first Tuesday, to share photos from our walks. Watch for all upcoming events.

The Great Halloween Lantern Parade
Saturday October 26, 2024 (rain date - the next day, Sunday)
4:00 PM – 9:00There are lots activities starting at 4:00, but grab food from the array of local food trucks, and meet us at the Pulaski Monument at 6:00
The parade starts at 7:00.When the sun sets, the magic begins. Everyone is welcome to grab a lantern and march with thousands of neighbors, artists, musicians, and performers. Many more line the parade route to watch the delightful Great Halloween Lantern Parade wind through the night! Details here:

Our "critiquer" is Ron Peiffer - Ron is a Maryland photographer based in Severna Park. He is the Vice President for Contests for Arundel Camera Club, the Vice President of the Creative Photography Society of Baltimore, and Member-at-Large for the Maryland Photography Alliance.
His work has appeared in Maryland Photography Alliance gallery shows over the past several years, and he has received the Frederick R. Kelly Photographer of the Year award 4 of the last 5 years from the Arundel Camera Club.

"Essentials of Portrait Photography."
We must have a minimum of 15 to proceed with the event - register soon!Baltimore photographer Vickie Gray will demonstrate portrait basics: lighting, posing, and retouching. We'll be using a model and a couple of volunteers from the group! Emphasis will be on personal portraiture (as opposed to fine art portraits). There will be no opportunities to do your own photos, this is a presentation-only workshop.
