Yoga is more than a physical practice. The ethics and philosophical aspects are just as important as the asanas. Yoga inspires us to move beyond our egos in order to benefit others and promote bliss, happiness and enlightenment. Any and all bodies who desire to learn more or to develop a yoga practice should have access to classes led by qualified instructors in comfortable spaces. Students should not feel limited by finance or any other barriers to practice yoga. This group was created to inform the yogis of the Chattanooga area where they can turn for affordable and accessible classes. This is Karmic Yoga in action.

Yoga Sculpt is a low-impact class combining elements of yoga, barre, and pilates to build muscular endurance and strength. Teachers will blend vinyasa with weighted sequences with keen attention to form, balance and safety.
We will tone and lengthen from head to toe using light resistance with optional hand and/or ankle weights, cardio-building sequences, and a healthy dose of core work. Expect to work every major muscle group as we build long, lean muscles that are strong and capable of stabilizing us in our active lives.
The studio room will not be heated for this class and the pace of transitions will be slow and steady to support balance and safety.

If you are brand new to yoga and want to gain more overall flexibility, balance and strength, this class is for you. Our Mindful Vinyasa classes are slow-paced allowing time for students to learn each yoga pose and find proper alignment. You will be guided through a sequence of reclining, seated and standing postures while also learning yoga breathing techniques for relaxation. This class will offer a lot of attention to detail for each pose, as well as more personalized instruction within a group setting.
Mindful Vinyasa is suitable for brand new yoga students and all levels of practitioners who want to increase their knowledge of fundamental Vinyasa yoga. These classes are held in a comfortable room temperature.

Through the practice of staying in each shape for 3-5 minutes, Yin Yoga not only stretches the muscles, but also the connective tissues. The practice often targets the hips, pelvis and lower spine in a simple practice, appropriate for all ages, levels of fitness and flexibility. This deep practice of stillness is a beautiful, if sometimes challenging, opportunity to connect with our mind and heart. All levels welcome.
