What we’re about
We're a friendly and fun group seeking to encourage new friendships through enjoying social events together.
We aim to be an inclusive group where all feel welcome. All suggestions welcome as to future events. Coffee mornings, Sunday lunch out, Sunday Socials, meals out, strolls in parks, going to see live bands, cinema, quizzes, bowling are the kind of things we have in mind. Ideally as you become familiar with meetup you might wish to put on an event inviting members somewhere nice you know of.
Running a meetup group has a cost so we're hoping that when you attend an event you'll put £1 in the tin towards costs. Any extra after covering fees we'll save for Christmas etc and treat the group to wine with their meal or put back into the group in some way.
Please note members attend events at their own risk. The group doesn't have insurance from Meetup or otherwise. You must view meets as a group of friends and potential friends gathering together of their own will. Nor do we endorse venues as safe. Though we hope to go lovely places of course! In summary we simply ask people to take reasonable care of themselves and others at all events.
