What we’re about
My plan is for a pan-Christian book club focused on fantasy books such as Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Raven Son (?), Eragon (?), you get the idea.
This means we would have people from all different Christian backgrounds talking about good stories. Granted, other religions are welcome, but I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian and can't help applying my faith to every aspect of life, including talking about books. Hopefully, everyone in the group will be comfortable discussing connections between what we read and how we are to live as Christians.
We would do a majority vote (or something like that) for the next book and hopefully meet every week to discuss the chapter(s) we read for that week. My aim is for this group to be an easy book club and not something you have to devote a lot of time to: Read a chapter or two a week, talk about it with some friends.
I don't know where we would meet or when, but I'm thinking Tuesday nights...
I hope to start this maybe in February 2025?
