What we’re about
Welcome to the Civic Discussion Meetup, a meetup focused on conversations around how we can make Boston and America a better place for all. Each event will generally feature an open-minded discussion on different problems facing the country (and the Boston area specifically), often based off a podcast episode or two. The goal of our discussions is to have fun and for us to learn from each other so that we may better serve our communities as more informed citizens. All political orientations are welcome (e.g. conservative, liberal, extreme anarchist, etc.).
Socialize Afterwards:
After each event, there is an optional dinner at a local restaurant!
Come show up to any of our events!

See all- Wealth and Income Inequality in the Modern WorldPrudential Center, Boston, MA
Is wealth and income inequality a necessary driver of innovation and progress, or does it erode the foundation of a fair and just society?
Join us for a thought-provoking discussion exploring the causes, consequences, and potential solutions to inequality both in the United States and globally. We'll examine how economic systems, policies, and historical contexts have shaped disparities in wealth distribution, and consider perspectives from experts, activists, and policymakers.
Whether you're curious about the impact of inequality on society, want to discuss strategies for creating a more equitable world, or wish to debate whether inequality is ultimately good or bad for society, this meetup offers a platform for engaging dialogue and diverse viewpoints.
