What we’re about
This Meetup group celebrates conversation, culture, connecting with others and having fun. In 2025 I am hosting more events at restaurants and museums - in addition to tea & coffee houses.
The expectation is for all members to participate at least periodically. Many Meetup groups have thousands of members who never attend even one time. This group is different.
A separate issue is when people register for an event but then fail to show up - or when they drop out on the day of. To remedy this, as of July 1, 2022, I have instituted a new policy where "no shows" and cancellations within 24 hours of an event may lead to removal from the group (with the ability to re-join the group in 4 months).
In addition several events may have a waiting list. Please do not shy away from joining a waiting list even if it seems sizable. The waiting list does NOT function on a first-come-first-served basis. As spaces open up I may pull from the waiting list "out of order" in an effort to create a better balance for a specific event.
