What we’re about
Do you love to read? Are you looking to expand your social circle? Are you often seeking to discuss your latest read with others? Do you like to go out for wine, dinner or brunch with like minded ladies? Are you looking for interesting authors to read? Then this is the group for you! We’ll read all sorts of interesting materials, both fiction and nonfiction (we’ll vote on selections of course). Come meet new friends and find interesting reads. Please note that a picture of your face is required for membership (no avatars, no photos of you facing backwards). This will help us to identify you during events. Ladies only, please do not bring pets or children.
Please be respectful of your hosts and the time and energy involved in putting together events.
Be mindful of:
-
the number of events you sign up for; frequently changing RSVP to Not Going, or waiting until the last minute to cancel (24 hours notice, if not more, is preferred)
-
RSVPing and then never checking back, update your RSVP as soon as possible if you cannot attend
-
YOU MAY BE ASKED TO CONFIRM YOUR RSVP or risk being moved to "not going". Read updates and details on the event page several days in advance of an event
-
no-shows. You may not be allowed to join certain activities in the future, such as book clubs, if you no-show. You're preventing someone else from being able to come when there's a waitlist. Multiple no-shows and short notice cancellations will result in removal from the group.
We thank all the group members who are diligent with their RSVPs! We have some great ladies and hope to continue to foster genuine friendships. See you soon!
To turn on notifications, go to your profile picture, settings, email updates, and then scroll down to updates about your groups. You can sign up for event reminders, changes to location or time, and new comments and chat messages. Let us know if you have any questions.

This group is open to the public; participants need not identify with any particular tradition or religion to attend our meetings or rituals.Join Horizon Pagans as we celebrate Lughnasadh, the Gaelic festival marking the beginning of the harvest season. Lughnasadh, also called Lammas, is the halfway point between the summer solstice and the autumn equinox and honors the Irish Sun God Lugh. Lugh is a warrior, ruler, poet and craftsman. In his honor we celebrate all the bounty that the sun brings to the land and to our own physical, spiritual and artistic vitality.
Please bring a dish to share for the potluck dinner after the ritual. Please also bring a camp chair and/or blanket if you might like to sit outside around a fire after clean-up.
Optional: wear colors you associate with the sun.Ritual begins at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall or Labyrinth, depending on the weather.
